Choose a style in Snippets
Open Snippets in Hively and browse the available styles. Each personal snippet is generated for the signed-in team member.
The current snippet page has Previous and Next controls. If you are using the older gallery view, choose Get Snippet beside a style. Both let you copy a rendered snippet or switch to HTML.
| Where you want feedback | A useful starting point |
|---|---|
| A normal email signature | Classic, Sleek or Single Link |
| A text-only signature or message | Plain Text |
| A larger invitation in a formatted message or page | Multi Links or El Grande |
| A complete email layout to edit in another sending tool | Full Email |
| A printed card, name badge or sign | QR Code |
Choose based on the space and editor you have, then check the finished result. Some styles include a photo or more text than others.
Copy the right format
Copy the displayed snippet into a visual editor, or select Show snippet as HTML when the destination has an HTML/source editor.
Keep all the links and images together. Use the Plain Text style if the destination accepts only text. For an ordinary signature, follow email-signature setup; for missing images or code appearing literally, see troubleshooting.
An account administrator can use Set as Default to choose the account’s default snippet style. This does not rewrite copies already pasted into external signatures or templates. Replace those copies when you need to change their text or layout.
Use the Full Email layout
The Full Email snippet gives you an email layout to copy into an external editor; copying it does not send an email from Hively.
- Choose Full Email in Snippets.
- Copy the rendered layout or its HTML, matching your sending tool’s editor.
- Edit the surrounding message so it accurately describes the interaction and why you are asking for feedback.
- Keep the rating links intact and confirm whose snippet you copied.
- Send a sample to yourself and inspect the received message before using it with customers.
To compose and send an invitation directly in Hively, use Rating Requests. Those requests have their own saved templates.
Use snippets beyond email signatures
A snippet can invite feedback wherever the destination preserves the links and, for graphical snippets, the necessary HTML.
For a website or forum, make clear which person or service interaction the feedback relates to. A personal snippet continues to point to one team member wherever you paste it. Use the appropriate integration for a shared help-desk template that needs to identify different agents.
For printed material, follow the QR-code guide. Keep invitations relevant to a real service interaction rather than placing the same person’s link indiscriminately across unrelated pages.
