Hively’s approach to GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) concerns the handling of personal data and privacy. Hively has taken the following steps to support compliance:
- The application server is located in London, with the backup repository in Frankfurt.
- Hively has appointed a Data Protection Officer and implemented a formal Data Breach Procedure.
- Hively’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy cover the purposes of using personal data, the lawful basis for processing, data retention periods and individual privacy rights.
These arrangements support the handling of personal data entrusted to Hively by its users and the customers who leave feedback.
Privacy rights and policy
Hively’s Privacy Policy describes its privacy practices and how to exercise your rights. Read it alongside the Terms and Conditions.
The rights covered include being informed about processing, access to personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and rights relating to automated decision-making and profiling.
Contact support if you need further information about data handling or documentation for your organisation.
Ask about your personal data
Email support@teamhively.com to ask about access, correction, deletion or another privacy concern.
Explain whether you are a Hively user, an account administrator or someone who left feedback, and briefly describe what you want help with. Identify the relevant organisation or account if known. Start with the minimum information needed; do not send passwords, identity documents or a full customer-data export in the first message.
If your request concerns feedback you gave to a business, identify that business so the request can be directed appropriately. Hively may need to clarify the request and verify the relevant identity or authority before acting.
Account closure and sharing
Closing a Hively account and requesting erasure of personal data are different tasks. Use the privacy contact route for a data request, even if an account has already been closed.
Account administrators can review rating fields and anonymous-rating settings to understand what they ask customers to provide. Check website widgets, social sharing and Wow Wall when reviewing public feedback surfaces. Changing a setting does not recall copies someone has already shared elsewhere.
