What a Thanks button does
A Thanks button is a link shown after a customer submits feedback. It can point to a useful resource, your website or an email address. It does not submit another rating or automatically post a review elsewhere.
Account administrators on paid plans can manage buttons under Configuration → Thanks buttons. There is no fixed button-count limit in the current form, but a small number of relevant choices is easier for customers to use.
Add a button
Select Add Thanks Button and complete the form:
- Choose the Action. Use Link to any URL or email address for a general link; branded choices change the button’s presentation.
- Enter a short Button label; the form allows up to 30 characters.
- Enter the destination in URL or mailto link, such as
https://example.com/helpormailto:support@example.com. - Choose Teams, where offered, and Display for: Happy and Wow, Satisfied, or Unhappy.
- Select Submit.
Use a destination you control or have checked. A branded action is not an automatic integration with that service; you still need the correct destination link.
Choose useful next steps
Good examples include “Read our help guide”, “Contact our team”, “Visit our website” or a link to an agreed follow-up resource. Match the destination to the label so that customers know what will happen.
Use the rating choice to offer relevant assistance—for example, a support contact after an Unhappy rating. Avoid pressuring customers to change their feedback or offering rewards for a positive public review.
Check, change or remove a button
Return to Thanks buttons to edit or remove a button. Check a test submission for the intended rating and team: a Happy/Wow button will not appear after a Satisfied or Unhappy rating, and a team-specific button will not appear for another team.
For the surrounding message, use rating-page customization. If the controls are unavailable, check that you are signed in as an account administrator on a paid plan.
