Step-by-step guide

Add Hively to an Outlook signature

Choose the instructions for your Outlook version and add your personal rating snippet.

For: Team members and account administrators

Copy your Hively snippet

Open Snippets in Hively and copy the displayed snippet for your own user. Keep the faces, links and accompanying text together.

Use the rendered version, rather than Show snippet as HTML, in Outlook’s normal signature editor. Keep your existing contact details and add Hively below them. If signatures are managed by your organisation, ask your administrator to update the shared template; they may need the CodeTwo guide instead.

New Outlook and Outlook on the web

Use the signature settings for the account you send customer messages from.

  1. Open Settings → Accounts → Signatures.
  2. Select the account, then add or edit a signature.
  3. Paste your Hively snippet into the signature editor.
  4. Choose whether to include it in new messages and replies/forwards, then save.

Classic Outlook for Windows

Classic Outlook has a separate signature editor.

  1. In a new message, open Message → Signature → Signatures.
  2. Choose the email account, then create or select a signature.
  3. Paste the snippet into Edit signature.
  4. Set the defaults for new messages and replies/forwards, then select OK.

Start a fresh message after saving to check the default is applied.

Mac and other versions

Follow the version selector and Mac link in Microsoft’s signature guide if those controls do not match your screen.

Check each device or app you use; do not assume an installed signature appears everywhere. For a text-only editor, use your personal rating link.

Check the result

Compose a new message and a reply from the correct address, then send a sample to yourself to inspect the received signature.

Check that the snippet is present once, the links remain attached to the faces, and the contact details still look right. Clicking a rating face can create a real rating; appearance checks do not require clicking it. For missing faces or visible HTML, see signature troubleshooting.
