Step-by-step guide

Add Hively to Apple Mail on a Mac

Add a personal Hively snippet to a Mac Mail signature and assign it to the correct account.

For: Team members and account administrators

Copy the displayed snippet

In Hively, open Snippets and copy your personal snippet as it appears, including the linked faces and text.

These instructions are for Mail on a Mac. For the iPhone app, use the mobile signature guide.

Add a signature in Mail

Choose the account before creating the signature so it is available when you send from that address.

  1. In Mail, open Mail → Settings → Signatures.
  2. Select your sending account in the left column and use + to add a named signature.
  3. Paste your contact details and Hively snippet into the editing area on the right.
  4. If Mail changes the font unexpectedly, check Always match my default message font.
  5. Use Choose Signature to select the default for that account.

If you created the signature under All Signatures, drag it onto the account first. Apple documents signature creation and the signature settings.

Check the sent message

Compose a new message and a reply from that account, and send a sample to yourself to inspect the received result.

Use a formatted message for an image-based snippet. If pasting loses the links or images, use the troubleshooting guide or your personal text link. Avoid replacing the snippet with a screenshot: the individual rating links would be lost.

Clicking a rating face can create a real rating, so it is not needed for an appearance check.
