Troubleshooting

Fix an invitation or activation link that does not work

Use the normal sign-in page after setup, or get help with an incomplete invitation, incorrect link or SSO requirement.

For: Team members and account administrators

If you have already completed setup

Go directly to the Hively login page. An invitation can complete initial setup only once; use the normal login page after that.

Use your saved email address and password, or your organisation’s SSO route. If you forgot your password, follow password reset help.

If you have not completed setup

Use the invitation sent to your own email address and open its complete link, without deleting or changing parts of it.

Check that you are using the intended organisation’s invitation. If a copied link was cut off, open the original email instead. An administrator can send your setup instructions again; unconfirmed users receive an invitation rather than the ordinary setup-only email.

If you are already signed in as a different person, sign out before following your own invitation. Do not use a colleague’s invitation to try to access your account.

An incorrect or expired activation message

An error on an old setup link does not, by itself, tell you whether the account is active or whether you should create a new account.

Ask your account administrator to check your user and email address. If a fresh invitation still fails, contact support@teamhively.com with the visible error message, your email address and the approximate time. Keep the invitation token and password private.

For an organisation that requires SSO, ask its administrator which sign-in method to use. Resetting a Hively password does not bypass the SSO requirement.
