Troubleshooting

Reset or change your Hively password

Recover access with a reset email or change your password from My Settings, with separate guidance for SSO.

For: Team members and account administrators

If you forgot your password

Open the Hively login page, choose Forgot password?, and enter the email address associated with your Hively user.

Follow the link in the reset email and enter the new password twice. After a successful reset, sign in from the normal login page. Use a strong, unique password rather than reusing one from another service.

The reset link is consumed by a successful password reset. A previously used link cannot be used again; request another reset if needed. Keep reset emails private and never send your password to support.

If you are already signed in

Open Users → My Settings and find Change your password.

Enter Old password, New password and Confirm new password, then select Update password. If the old password is not accepted, use the reset process instead. Check the success or error message before assuming the change was saved.

If your organisation uses SSO

Use the sign-in method your organisation provides. When SSO is required for the account, resetting a Hively password does not enable password login.

The normal login page also offers Sign in with SSO. For an identity-provider password or access problem, contact your organisation’s administrator. Hively support can help determine which sign-in route applies, but changing a Hively password does not change your identity-provider password.

No reset email or an invalid link

Check the address, inbox and junk folder, then use the most recent reset message for the intended account.

If Hively cannot find the account, ask an administrator to confirm your saved email address and that the user is active. If requests are being rate-limited, stop retrying and contact support@teamhively.com. For an invitation or activation problem, see sign-in troubleshooting.
