How-to guide

Change your snippet wording

Edit the invitation to give feedback while preserving the rating links and their meaning.

For: All Hively users

Change the visible invitation

You can edit ordinary text around the snippet in your email signature—for example, change “How did I do?” to “How was my service?” Keep a short instruction explaining that customers can select a face to give feedback.

Preserve each face’s original link and rating meaning. Do not replace a personal rating URL with the support homepage, copy another member’s links, or change integration placeholders while editing the wording.

Manage reusable wording in Hively

Account administrators on paid plans can open Configuration → Snippets. Where the selected snippet offers a Customization panel, edit the available question, link text or rating labels and select Save. Available controls depend on the snippet style.

Obtain the updated snippet and replace the versions installed in email signatures or templates. Saved wording cannot rewrite messages that have already been sent.

Keep the promise accurate

Make the question about the interaction you want customers to rate. Keep a clear choice of positive, neutral and negative responses. Do not describe feedback as anonymous without checking your name, email and required-field settings.

The question on the linked rating page is configured separately under Customization. Review both surfaces so that they ask a consistent question.

Check the received message

Send yourself a test message from the actual sending application. Check the text, images and destination member before using the signature with customers. An HTML editor or signature manager can alter formatting and links while pasting; use the relevant signature setup guide if that happens.
