Copy the HTML version
Open Snippets in Hively, choose your style, then select Show snippet as HTML and copy the complete code.
Thunderbird’s HTML signature field accepts code. This differs from the visual signature editors in Outlook and Gmail. Use your own snippet and retain the full links and image addresses.
Set up Thunderbird
Configure the signature on the email account you use for customer messages.
- Open Thunderbird’s Account Settings and select that account.
- Enable Use HTML for Signature text.
- Paste the Hively HTML into that field, alongside any existing signature HTML you want to retain.
- Compose an HTML-formatted message to check the result. A plain-text message will not preserve the faces and layout.
For signature files, separate accounts and reply positioning, use Thunderbird’s signature guide. It also explains how to compose and save a signature as an HTML file if that suits your existing setup.
Check before using it
Send a sample to yourself and inspect both a new message and a reply, including the received version.
If code appears literally, check Use HTML and the message format. If images are missing, see signature troubleshooting. Recipients can choose not to display remote images even when your signature is installed correctly.
Do not click the rating faces just to inspect formatting; they can create real ratings.
