When a click becomes feedback
A click on a rating smiley can count without pressing Submit when the rating page loads successfully and no required information is outstanding.
Opening the email alone does not create feedback, and a link click is not an unconditional guarantee that a rating will be counted. Page loading, browser checks and required fields affect completion. A general rating link that first asks you to choose a response may also require a form submission.
For a reliable finished response, complete the rating page and submit it, especially when it asks for details.
Add details or change your choice
On the rating page, choose Happy, Satisfied or Unhappy, add the information you want to provide, and select Submit to save those changes.
A Happy response can also include a WOW. Fill in any required fields and fix any errors shown. Typed comments or a changed selection are not saved merely by closing the page.
Changing and submitting the existing response updates that feedback. Reopening an original rating link can create a replacement under Hively’s repeat-rating rules; it does not guarantee that every older response will be replaced.
If you cannot reopen the rating
Editing an existing rating requires the browser that created it and its retained Hively cookie. Switching devices, using a different browser or clearing cookies can prevent an old edit link from working.
A public link used to share feedback does not give permission to edit it. If you need help correcting a response, contact the business you rated or Hively support. Do not send passwords or browser cookies.
Required and optional information
The business can choose which information to request. Follow the required-field prompts; custom forms can differ from the standard name, email and comment form.
