Can team members be created, but invited to Hively at a later time?

Yes. Account Administrators can create users and choose to send invitations immediately or at a later date. To send invitations later, find the user on the Leaderboard or their personal page. Click the ‘Actions’ dropdown and click on the ‘Get Rating Snippet’ link. In the pop up you will see a button that says ‘Email snippet and instructions.’ Click it. If the user has not been previously invited an email will be sent with an invitation to join Hively.

If the user has already been invited and has an account set up, clicking this button will simply send an email to the user with their snippet in it.

What if a user didn’t receive their rating snippet and instructions via email?

If one of your users didn’t receive their rating snippet and instructions via email try the following:

Have them check their spam folder to see if the email was placed there.
Be sure to white label and/or add the Hively domain to your contacts @teamhively.com.
You can resend the Hively email containing the user’s rating snippet and instructions to them again. To do this, find the user on the Hively Leaderboard. Click the ‘Actions’ dropdown and then the ‘Get Rating Snippet’ link. In the window that appears you’ll see a button that says ‘Send email and instructions’. Clicking this button will resend the snippet/instructions email to the user.

Where do I upload my photo to my Hively profile?

As a user, team leader or account administrator you can upload or change your personal photo.

On the Leaderboard page, hover over the user image area in your summary display. The image area will display a transparent black box with text that says ‘Click to upload a profile picture’. Click this area and the upload photo dialogue will appear. You can use this function to upload any image from your computer. Files should be larger than 180 px, and less than 2400 px x 1200 px. Acceptable file types include: png, gif, and jpg.

Remember – keep it classy! This image will be seen by your customers.

Is there a way to keep users from seeing information on other users?

By default, each user can see the summary scores and % of rating types of other users on the Leaderboard page and via email. However, they can not see the details of the customer ratings on each users page. Only Account Administrators and Team Leaders can view this data.

However, if you would like to restrict the level of information visible to users, this can be done by selecting Profile from the main menu under Account. From here you can change the Team Member Access setting to a level that better fits your preferences.

What are the allowable image dimensions and file types for my team and team member images?

You can upload an image to represent your team and also one for each user. Only Account Administrators can upload/change the account’s logo. Users can change their personal images and team leaders have the ability to change user images as well.

To upload/change and image simply hover over the image area and click it with your mouse. You can also click the ‘Upload Image’ link in the ‘Actions’ dropdown for your profile. Either of these methods will bring up the image uploader.

The file size of the image you’re uploading should be larger than 180px and not larger than 2400x1200px. Also, square images will work the best. The supported file types are .jpg, .png and .gif.

Please remember – your customers will see these images. So keep it classy!

How do I delete users?

Account Administrators can delete users as follows:

Select Manage Users from the main menu under the User heading.
In the right-hand pane, click ‘Remove’ next to the User you want to delete.
Confirm that really want to do this

The user is now deleted.

How do I change my password in Hively?

Change your password and click Update password.

What is the difference between a user, team leader and account administrator?

In Hively there are three user types – Team Leaders, Users and Account Administrators.

Account Administrators: Account Administrators are the account owners. These people are most likely managers, directors, executives, company owners etc. Account Administrators have the ability to:

Set up and edit all the Team level settings and information, add Users and Team Leaders, select subscription plan options, customize customer messages, style branding pages, etc.
Ability to see detailed rating information for every member of their team.
View customer and team satisfaction data, trends and detailed ratings.
Request ratings for Users.
Set the default rating snippet option for the team.
By default, Account Administrators are also Users in the same account so as to enable them to receive and measure client happiness data on their own performance. Account Administrators can remove themselves as Users if they do not wish to participate as a User and receive customer feedback.
The name of the Account Administrators is displayed in the team summary data area on the dashboard.

Team Leaders: Team Leaders manage individual teams within Hively. Team Leaders have the ability to:

Ability to see detailed rating information for members of their team or teams.
View customer and team satisfaction data, trends and detailed ratings for their team or teams.
Team Leaders can be Team Leaders of multiple teams.
Participate as a member of a team.

Users: Users are participants of a Team account and can only be added by Account Administrators. These people are most likely customer service, sales, training or account management representatives. Users have the ability to:

Control and edit their own individual accounts.
View the summary information for their Team and other users.
View their own summary and detailed rating information. They cannot view the detailed rating information for any other User.
Request ratings directly from customers.

How do I add users to Hively?

Simply select Manage Users from the main menu under the User heading.

Once there, you can add users by:

Entering users one by one. Click Add Users, then fill out the name and email address.
Entering them in bulk. To do this click Add Users, then set the toggle from Single to Bulk and type user information into the text box on the left side. Enter users one per line in the convention of ‘name, email’ (without the ‘quotes’). Example: john, john@acmestaffing.com or John Jones, jon@acmeinc.com
Copying from another document. If you have a list of users in another document (Word, Excel, etc.) listed in the convention of ‘name, email’ (without the ‘quotes’) (Example: john, john@acmestaffing.com) set the toggle from Single to Bulk, copy your list of users and paste it directly into the users text box. Be sure there is only one user per line in your list.

How many users can you add?

You can have up to a total of three users on the free tier. On paid plans, there is no limit to the number of users you can add. If you’re on a monthly plan, your new number of users will be reflected in your monthly charge. For annual plans, a charge will be generated when the user is added for the remaining months until renewal. Then, when your annual plan renews, the new user will be charged along with the other users on your account.
